ISite Design had an open house on June 19 2012 to celebrate its new location in the Innovation District of Boston. This event was a great way to not only showcase their new office space but also to meet the neighboring companies.
What happened at the event?
About 75 or more friends, family, entrepreneurs, students, etc gathered to talk about the new space, business, careers and how many fun facts about the employees there were hanging throughout the office. There were also plenty of other things to talk as the office was decorated with a variety of eclectic items as the photo gallery below highlights.
A few things that stood out about this event were the amount of discussion points. There was plenty of food and drinks (see below) to help keep the conversations going, which is always a good thing. There was the guest book signing wall made possible by Ideal Paint. There were the various employee fun facts in thought bubbles format, the Legos, the stuffed animals and of course the PhotoBlast booth. As you can see below, many people got Photo Blasted including me.
Key Take Away’s
When hosting an event at your company make it an experience. So beyond the standard, being a welcoming host, having drinks, food, and nametags, go a few steps further to really showcase the brand of your business.
Not every office has conversation pieces, so bring them into your office for the event. In this case, an entire photo booth area was created and placed in a spot that was in the center of everything and yet out-of-the-way.
