With over 200 people registered online, it was a crowded venue with participants networking in different small groups. In addition to a monthly meet up, this event celebrated the launch of Careers on BostInno. Read more about the Careers on BostInno here.
Event Promoters Takeaway:
– Easy to remember hashtag: The event hashtag was very easy to remember and not too long. #BinnoMeetUp is short, sweet and appropriate for the event.
– Promoting the event hashtag beforehand: The hashtag was on the Eventbrite page for participants to familiarize themselves with before attending the event. This is also a great way to encourage participants to use the hashtag to promote the event or connect with other participants before attending. The hashtag was also in the event reminder email sent to participants.
Event Venue Takeaway:
The event was held at Meadhall for the first time. It’s a spacious venue with great food and drinks. Although it’s a popular venue, it would have been a great opportunity for Meadhall to gain more exposure on Twitter by promoting their @Meadhall twitter handle before and during the event by engaging with the participants.
The set up of the venue was great and they were very detail oriented. The menus were setup on the tables before the event so that participants could order their drinks without having to go up to the bar to ask for a menu.
