So now the party is over. The event has ended and the guests have left. But the question is: did you leave your impact?
If you stuck and used our 5 tips for the top 5 social media platforms during the event, then you should have no worries. Because this means that you have already started to leave your impact. You’re in all the check-ins, all the tweets and all the photos.
So now that that’s done, we want to show how you can continue to increase brand awareness and most importantly get all of these people coming back to your venue, even if it’s not for an event. We’re going to help you get these people back as your regulars!
It’s as easy as the first two steps, the only difference is that now you’ll be finding ways to utilize these social media platforms after the event is over.
So how can you do that?
For starters, FB is where it’s at.
1) Facebook:
- You can post any promotional discounts onto your FB page. This will serve as an incentive for event members to come back toy your venue even if it’s not for an event.
- Add the event you just hosted to your history on your FB page. This will get you recognition and increase you credibility. It will let your followers know what you do and what you have done in the past.
- Since you’ve created a page for your venue you can upload photos to it. People love looking at photos so why not post them up? You can promote your venue this way and lead people to your page.
- The same goes for videos. Make sure to post them all.
- Make sure you tag anyone who is in your photos and videos. This will direct them to your page and can potentially give you new likes and new visitors.
2) Twitter: Make it easy for event members to find and stay connected with you via Twitter.
- Tweet about the event you just hosted by using the event hashtag. This will make it easier for other attendees to find you and recognize you for what you have done.
- Follow anyone you met during the event.
- Once you follow them you can tweet them. Send them a quick thank you and let them know you appreciate their presence. People like being recognized.
- Once you have recognized them, they will more than likely respond to your tweet and follow you back.
- Then you can tweet them a coupon or a promotional code to earn their business and gain new clients.
3) LinkedIn: This is a great platform to promote your venue and build your clientele.
- Hand out your business cards so that others can easily find you by using CardMunch.
- You can also use CardMunch to take a photo of any business card you received. This will make it easier for you to instantly look up their profile.
- Search for anyone you met during the event and send them a direct message, You can just say hello and thank them for coming or you can send them a coupon to get them to come back.
- You can also search for people on the LinkedIn event page.
- One of the great things you can do is create a new group and invite any of your new connections from the event to join. This will keep you connected and interacting with one another and will keep your venue on everyone’s mind.
4) Google+: Google+ is a great way to build your brand awareness.
- You can start a community and get attendees from the event to join. This way you can share new promotions and coupons with them.
- Or you can create a circle with any of the event members so you can continue to share and update them on you and your venue offerings.
- Post any photos that highlight your venue during the event and share them on Google+. This will let your followers see for themselves what your venue has to offer.
- You can also share your photos on the Google+ event page. This will be the easiest way to keep you connected with all the event members.
- The same can be said for videos.
5) Blogs: Blogs are an easy way to grow a following and share promotions; It is something venues don’t, but should focus more on.
- Share all of your photos on your WordPress, Tumblr or other blog page.
- Write a descriptive post on the event that just took place at your venue.
- Make sure to highlight all of the great offerings and services you provided during the event.
- Upload our photos so that your readers can see how your venue can be set up.
- Upload your videos.
Remember, it’s important that you follow up with all members of the event. Simply saying hello or giving them a coupon or promotional code will let them know that you care and appreciate their business. People love being recognized and getting free and/or discounted things so make sure to take advantage of it. If you don’t want to provide a free or discounted item, maybe you can provide them access to an exclusive event or special menu item.
The more you follow up and the more you stay connected via social media, the more people are likely to start sharing, talking and suggesting you to their friends.
