Can we do a write-in event. I'm sure some of the 150 folks at the Gary Vaynerchuk event would choose that as a winner this month. Thanks!

ALSO, the MHT Tweetup deserves some votes. That was a who's who of the Boston tech community.

NO, we already spoke about this offline for more than an hour. I am unsure as to why you keep asking the same question when you already know the answer.

    LOL…now that is a response

I wish I would not have stepped into this conversation…best of luck to all :)

Was just asking because I thought I remembered other monthly polls having a write-in option. Did you exclude that option just because of that one event? If so, you're doing MHT and your friend Doug a disservice. The MHT Tweetup was an event you promoted, so shouldn't it be here too or at least have an option to be written in?

Again No, I have already spoken to Doug. I am still unclear as to why you continue to ask questions you already know the answers to.

My question, to distill it, is why this month there is no write-in option on the Tweetup poll. That's it.

    Jeff,

You already know, I love you like a little brother and I understand you mean well, but just because I am using the intense debate plug-in doesn't mean you should take it literally. ;-P

I realize this response is rather long however I wanted to recap our conversation to help clear things up for you, and also to answer any questions from the community that may arise from your misleading comments above.

Again as you also already know, one of the reasons that I started BostonTweetup is to bring people together. We highlight, showcase, and promote events that are put together by individuals that want to bring diverse communities together for networking and relationship building.

BostonTweetUp does not and will never knowingly endorse, support, or condone any individual or any event associated with individuals who actions are either publicly rude, disrespectful, sexist, racist, manipulative, intolerant of different communities, culturally insensitive or otherwise relationship destroying.

The write-in option is something that I had included as a trial last month, and it was the first and only month to have that. I welcome feedback from the community as to whether they feel this is something of value and would like to see it in the future.

As always the weekly polls are only on tweetups, so the monthly polls are taken from the results of those. When there are weeks that have several tweetups, we have historically only selected a few to poll which, we feel, stand out.

As you know via our twitterstream and weekly videos, I do promote non-tweetup events as they are an area of interest to the tweetup community, but I only include tweetups in the polls.

Both Pokin' Holes and WingmanTv know that I support them and have consistently attend their events; I have talked with both of them and they understand that they do not qualify as tweetups, so this has never been an issue between us.

As always, I welcome comments and feedback from the community (not just from you Jeff ;-D), however, Jeff, we have spoken about this subject for several hours offline and it appears that there are still some issues that you are still unclear about.

I encourage you to simply pick up the phone and call me if you have any additional questions or if there is something I can clear up for you. I do not think that the posting back and forth is enriching our community and/or accomplishing anything so this will be my last post on the matter.

Again, as you already know, I look forward to talking to you or seeing you at a tweetup soon. ;-)
